Let me turn you on to ReSpun Retro! They are a new, local, sustainable, fashion company with hand-created one-of-a-kind jewelry. Just a couple of shops down from the new cafe, Iron & Kin, in the Packing House, there is a small booth filled with sparkling jewelry. Before I knew the store was sustainable, I was drawn in by the vintage style jewelry, the clean edges, and classic styles.
I had the pleasure of briefly talking with the owners of ReSpun Retro, Kevin and Heather Meier-Gonzales. The couple founded the company, with the goal of creating unique artisan pieces, while reducing the carbon footprint in the design industry. Heather specializes in sustainable design and metalwork while Kevin's focus is in sustainable craftsmanship, specifically woodworking. Together with this duo uses sustainable materials to design everything from the jewelry to the booth.
Subtle and stunning, this minimalist line creates the biggest statement in the smallest space. The beautiful medial of silver-work combined with natural elements provides an exquisite color combination, unparalleled. Since the team designs, manufactures, photographs, and sells their products all from the same location, they are able to track the quality and transparency of all their products.
The quality and craftsmanship of their products are unparalleled. Shoppers must support
this small sustainable business on their journey. While I can attempt to convince you that their products are amazing they honestly speak for themselves.
Shop local , stay sustainable!!
